I'm Heather Papovich.

I've been writing professionally for years, usually published under other people's names. (If you count career docs and LinkedIn bios as publishing. I do.)

I started this site in 2025 in a pure "screw it" moment after years of writing other things and never having the nerve to let other people read them.

ChatGPT calls me an ambivert, but I think that's only because I'm married to an extrovert who's responsible for talking me into half the crazy shit I end up trying.

All I can tell you is that I write about what I see, what I know, and what I've done. And I've been around enough to have done a lot.

I'm originally from Louisville, KY, and currently live in Wisconsin with my husband and assorted family members while researching warmer-climate retirement options.

(I mean, people tell me to go to hell, but I'm hoping for something less humid, at least).

When I'm not posting here, I write professionally for clients. I've spent most of my working life happily behind the scenes.

But sometimes you just gotta say the thing, so here we are.

I'm a lifelong movie nut, a runner when the weather allows it, and someone who still doesn't accept most deaths in the MCU.
